Hey everyone! My name is Chleo Eve, and I want to tell you about something super important to me, More Than Bananas. This isn’t just some random Instagram page; it’s something I created to help people learn about things like sexual health, healthy relationships, and consent. I started this because I believe everyone deserves to have the knowledge and support they need to feel safe and empowered. Plus, I want to create a space where people can talk openly about topics that are often seen as uncomfortable or taboo.
Why I Started More Than Bananas
Since I was 14, I’ve been passionate about advocating for people who don’t always have a voice, especially survivors of sexual assault (SA), domestic violence (DV), and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I wanted to create a platform where people could find support, education, and real help when they need it the most.
One of the most important things I do through More Than Bananas is mutual aid. I run donation-based ads where every dollar raised goes directly to someone in need. Whether it’s helping a survivor escape a dangerous situation, supporting an LGBTQIA+ person facing homelessness, or providing someone with basic necessities, every little bit makes a real difference.
Fundraising and Helping Others
One of my proudest moments so far has been raising $5,000 to help people in need. That money has gone toward helping people leave unsafe situations, rebuild their lives, and get access to resources they wouldn’t have had otherwise. It just proves that when people come together, we can actually make change happen!
But More Than Bananas isn’t just about fundraising, it’s also about education and awareness. I share real stories, expert advice, and important information to help people understand topics like consent, healthy relationships, and personal safety. My goal is to break down stigma and make sure everyone has access to the knowledge they need to make smart choices.

This is only the beginning! I have big plans to keep growing More Than Bananas, work with other organizations, and push for even bigger changes. I want to keep educating, supporting, and helping as many people as possible. Whether it’s through social media, in-person events, or new projects, I’m committed to making a difference.
